Based on the milk protein, casein, and white lime, earthBorn Casein Paint provides a soft matt, chalky white finish that is well suited to interior use in older buildings. Casein Paint is provided in powder form for mixing with water to create your own natural emulsion for internal use. It can also be mixed with earthBorn Pigment to create your own special colours.

For long lasting paintwork on masonry walls, first apply a coat of Earthborn Silicate Primer. Ideal for stabilising loose, powdery surfaces prior to painting, Earthborn Silicate Primer is specially formulated as a base coat for Earthborn Silicate Masonry Paint.

Being water based and VOC free, it allows walls to breathe. It also helps prevent algae growth.

(Note: Earthborn Silicate Primer should not be applied over conventional ‘plastic’ masonry paints. Some clay surfaces may require special treatment).

Being water based and VOC free, it allows walls to breathe. Yet its special formulation with sodium silicate makes it very hardwearing. It is water repellent and can withstand severe extremes of weather.

Earthborn Silicate Masonry Paint does not yellow with time and can be washed down to keep it looking fresh. It is available in a selection of 40 standard shades*.

It has been found that ingredients such as the solvents, acrylics and acrylic softeners used in most conventional paints are hazardous both to health and the environment. Many of you will have heard of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and be aware that these and other chemical compounds can cause chest complaints, aggravate allergies, contribute to the greenhouse effect and pollute the environment.

Fortunately, earthBorn isn’t the only company deeply concerned about the health and environmental impact of paint products. We have teamed up with a pioneering German manufacturer to provide you with a real choice when it comes to decorating.

During manufacture, we apply rigorous screening procedures to ensure that any effluent creates minimal pollution.

During use, and thereafter, conventional paints and varnishes can release harmful solvents and compounds into the air. These contribute to depletion of the ozone layer and are known to be harmful to health, being carcinogenic and a cause of sick building syndrome.
