BIOFA DURASOL INDOOR WALL PAINT, white

    Technical Information Sheet

Characteristics A solvent free, water soluble thinable wall paint, made of natural raw materials. Its coating is shining and breathable, high in coverage, diffusible, fast drying, wash and scrub resistant with a neutral scent.

Ingredients Linseed Oil, Turkey Red Oil, Casein, Boron Salt, Cellulose, Bergamot oil, talcum, chalk, titanium-dioxide and lithopone.

Application For the application on sustainable undergrounds in interior areas like plaster, concrete, gas concrete, gypsum plaster boards, cellulose fibre board as well as ingrain wallpaper. Also utilised for the renovation of old, commercial, synthetic emulsion paint, that are free of dirt and dust. Used as primer for BIOFA Wood Varnishes.

    Preliminary treatment

Surface has to be dry, sustainable and clean. Remove all remains of lime-paint and glue-bound distempers. Clean off or roughen up enamel paint and oil coatings. Sandy as well high absorbent undergrounds need to be primed with our solvent free Sealing Primer 0810 (1:3 thinned with water) before Durasol 3006 can be applied. Surfaces with lower absorbency should be primed with Sealing Primer 0810 (1:1 thinned with water) as well. Wait at least 6 weeks before treating new concrete, lime and cement rendering.

For wallpapered undergrounds, where wallpaper has been removed, the surface needs to be lightly roughened (sandpaper grade 60 - 100). Remove dust (use brush or vacuum and wipe with a wet cloth) or clean thoroughly using a brush and hot water. After 24 hours drying duration prime underground using thinned solvent free Sealing Primer 0810. Wallpaper paste remainders are possible to cause problems with the adhesion.

Important notice: It is possible that different substances like lignin, nicotine, rust, different salts etc. can be carried through to the surface by moisture, causing discoloration and differences in colour tones, due to the treatment of several undergrounds with watery and porous coating systems. Therefore preliminary tests must be done.

Colour Tones Durasol 3006 can be toned with Color Concentrates 3510 - 3590.

    Processing

Stir throughly. You may mix paint with 5% water for the primary coating. On new ingrain wallpaper or surfaces light in color it is sufficient to apply one full, undiluted coating. Apply by rolling or brushing or use an Airless-Sprayer (Spray nozzel 0.53 mm, air pressure 200 bar). Do not process when temperature is below 5°C.

Important! Make sure to ventilate well when working with the product and while it is drying!

Drying You can apply next coating after approximately 2 hours drying duration. Drying duration is about 24 hours (20 - 23°C / 50 - 55% rel. air moisture) when applying the glazing technique.

Coverage Usage 120ml/m². Coverage 8-9m²/ltr. Usage as well as the coverage depend on the absorbency of the underground.

    Cleaning of
    implements
Clean implements immediately after use with water and NAPONA 2090.

Storage Seal tight and keep in a cool place. Make sure paint does not receive frost. Use up open containers as fast as possibile. Storage life is about 1 year when kept properly.

    Containers 4 lt / 10 lt containers
